Safety Valves

pressure safety valve

Safety valves are specialized devices designed to guarantee protection against excessive pressure. They function by opening and releasing surplus pressure from vessels or equipment, effectively averting uncontrolled pressure escalation within pipelines or vessels. These crucial components play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of both individuals and machinery.

Moreover, safety valves are adaptable, coming in diverse sizes and pressure ratings to suit various applications and needs. Their primary purpose is to mitigate the risk of burn, crush, and pinch point injuries while preserving the integrity of the system they safeguard.

RAAH Offers Various Values:

RAAH BUTTERFLY VALVES

Concentric and eccentric butterfly valves find extensive applications in various industries, including plant facilities, offshore installations, ships, and high-pressure piping systems. These valves are designed to accommodate bidirectional flow and deliver a secure, leak-free seal under full-rated pressure conditions.

Standards Compliance: The valve’s face-to-face dimensions shall adhere to established standards such as API, ISO, DIN, KS/JIS, BS/MSS SP-68, or other applicable standards upon request. Additionally, the valve’s fire-safe design must meet the requirements outlined in API 607, 6FA, and BS6755.

Product Range:

  • Size: Available in a range from DN 50mm (2 inches) to DN 4000 (160 inches).
  • Working Temperature: Capable of operating in temperatures spanning from -196°C to 815°C.
  • Working Pressure: The working pressure can be tailored to the specific size and type of the valve, with capacities extending up to 300 bar.

Floating Ball valves
FLOATING BALL VALVE

Floating ball valves are produced in three primary configurations: One-piece end-entry, Two-piece bolted construction, and Three-piece bolted construction. These valves can be provided in both full and reduced bore designs, and they are fabricated using either cast or forged materials. The bolted and screwed body connections make them easily serviceable and maintainable on-site. Additionally, these valves can be equipped with Raised Face, Ring Type Joint, Socket Weld, or Screwed End connections. Their pressure ratings range from ANSI 150 to ANSI 2500, with the option for higher pressure ratings upon request. Operators for these valves can include levers or gears.

In terms of material selection, these valves are crafted from a variety of materials, including Carbon Steel, Low-Temperature Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex, Super Duplex, Monel, Inconel, and various other special alloys.

RAAH GATE VALVE

KVC Gate valves adhere to API Std.600 for manufacturing and API Std. for testing.

Gate valves are the prevailing choice for shut-off applications across various industries. They are employed in situations requiring minimal pressure loss and bi-directional on-off functionality. It’s crucial to note that gate valves are not designed for throttling purposes, as prolonged use in a partially open position can typically lead to damage to the seating surfaces.

Specifications:

  • Bolted Bonnet
  • Outside Screw and Yoke
  • Flexible Wedge
  • Oval Bonnet with integrated Yoke
  • Rising Stem with a Non-rising Handwheel
  • Welded-in or Threaded Seat Rings
  • Full Port
  • Raised Face Flanged Ends or Buttwelding Ends

For sizes 14″ and larger, it is recommended to use Gear Operated valves.

RAAH GLOBE VALVES

KVC Globe Valves adhere to the manufacturing standards of BS1873 and API Std. 600, with testing performed according to API Std. 598.

Globe Valves serve the purpose of regulating and shutting off flow. They can also be employed for on-off functionality, although their significant pressure drop restricts their use to situations where the valve is typically in the closed position, with the pressure drop becoming less relevant when the valve is open.

Specifications:

  • Bonnet with Bolts
  • External Screw and Yoke
  • Yoke integrated with the bonnet
  • Rising Stem with Handwheel
  • Seat Ring available in Welded or Threaded form with Stellite material
  • Full Port design
  • Flanged Ends with Raised Face or Buttwelding Ends
  • For sizes of 10″ and above, Gear Operated valves are recommended.

RAAH SWING CHECK VALVES

KVC Swing Check Valves adhere to BS1868, API Std. 6D, and API Std. 600 manufacturing standards, while undergoing rigorous testing in accordance with API Std. 598.

These swing check valves play a vital role in preventing the reversal of flow within piping systems. They are well-suited for use in both horizontal and vertical orientations (with flow directed upwards through the valve). Swing check valves boast a minimal pressure drop, making them ideal for applications with moderate flow velocities.

Specifications:

  • Features a bolted cover design.
  • Suitable for horizontal or vertical installations, with flow directed upward only.
  • Options for welded or threaded seat rings.
  • Full port design ensures efficient flow.
  • Available with raised face flanged ends or butt-welding ends.
